What is Cellrelief.com?
Cell and relief? Get the idea? We bring together people who want to leave their current cellular contracts and the ones who want to take over one.
Why would anybody like to leave their current cell contract?
Many reasons - moving to other state/province, bad reception in the area where they work or live or most importantly - because they can.
Why would anybody like to take over somebody’s contract instead of signing a new one?
Not everybody wants to commit themselves to 24 or 36 months. Sometimes you want a contract that has only a few months left on it or has a certain number of free minutes or certain feature that you just like.
Which cell companies does Cellrelief work with?
All of them. But we don’t work for any - we work for people like you who want to leave their current plan or take on a new one. Our listing cover all wireless companies in the US and Canada and if you’re accessing this site from overseas you’ll probably notice that we’re in your country too. In the unlikely event your provider is not listed - give us a shout and we’ll add them asap.
Is it legal?
Absolutely. It’s good for you, it’s good for the other party and it’s also good for your cellular provider. It costs cell companies a lot to acquire a new customer (that is you). They spend tons of money on advertising, on keeping their dealer network and they even subside your phone - in return they expect you to stay with them long. That’s why there are cancellation fees to recoup these costs and make it slightly more difficult for you to leave. But here, at Cellrelief.com we believe you should be free to choose when to drop the contract and we’re here to help. The cell company should be happy too - instead of and unhappy customer they’ll have a satisfied one instead.
How does it work?
You simple register on Cellrelief.com giving details of your current cellular plan - the cost, the free minutes - the more details the better. Chances are there is somebody out there who would like to take over your plan instead of signing-up for a new one and committing themselves to another long-term contract. Once that happens, both parties contact each other and finish the deal. That will involve calling the cell company (usually their customer service number is on your invoice) and initiating a transfer process. It usually takes anywhere form half an hour to a couple of days and most like will require checking other party’s credit score (as with regular cell contract.)
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The best things in life are free and we’d like to keep it this way. At some point we may ask you do donate us some money - but only if you like the service we provide. Fair enough?
